This is a unique opportunity for a high calibre, self-motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic registered nurse academic to make a significant contribution to the future direction of Nursing Studies’ local and global profile. There are high levels of support to achieve, maintain and grow quality research and teaching with colleagues in the School research office and student support team.

The post holder will be a registered nurse academic with an active teaching, research and practice related portfolio as well as a current nurse prescribing qualification. The post holder will make a contribution to leadership, management, organisation and provision of learning, teaching, assessment, pastoral care and guidance, student experience and curricula development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supporting the recruitment and supervision of these students. In addition, the post holder will be expected to make a contribution to the strategic development of scholarship, research, REF, knowledge exchange and impact within Nursing Studies, the wider School and University.

We would welcome applications from candidates with research focus related to our key research priorities of Connecting policy, professions and care; Social Justice and Health inequity; Global Public Health; and Abruptions in health and social care, which are underpinned by cross-cutting research methodologies, policy and impact.

The University will consider appointments made on a less than full-time basis or as a job share arrangement subject to negotiation.
