The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery, is seeking to appoint external examiners to our Examination Boards in the following areas: 1) Older persons fellowship / Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing with Registration as an Adult Nurse;
The Older Person’s Nurse Fellowship, sponsored by Health Education England (HEE) is a postgraduate programme aimed at leading innovation and quality improvement in care for older people. The fellowship attracts approximately 20 students per intake and is a one year, part-time programme that leads to a Postgraduate Certificate award consisting of two modules. Three long term conditions modules will require review. This role includes programme overview of our PG Dip in Nursing with Registration as an Adult Nurse, which includes reviewing two academic modules and the practice learning portfolio.
2) Clinical MRes; The MRes programme is multi-disciplinary programme and is designed for practitioners who wish to develop a research or a clinical academic career. There is the opportunity for students to apply for a Clinical MRes Fellowships funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). The role would incorporate programme overview and some module review.
3) MSc Advanced practice leadership focus. Health care policy, quality and safety. The role would incorporate programme overview and module review.
Key duties include:
•Advising boards of examiners on the content and standard of assessment
•Moderating samples of exam scripts and other assessed materials
•Attending boards of examiners to approve pass lists and degree classifications
•Advising on academic misconduct and appeal cases
•Submitting an annual report to the College Principal
