Abertay University now seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing in the School of Social Health Sciences. This is a joint appointment with NHS Tayside with the successful candidate holding an Honorary Nurse Consultant title. The purpose of this collaboration is to further strengthen the links between the University and our clinical practice partners and to facilitate the development of practice based mental health related research.
The School of Social and Health Sciences delivers programmes and applied research in the areas of mental health nursing, counselling, psychology, sociology, and sport and exercise. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the University’s plan to develop a centre of excellence in mental health nursing.
Reporting to the Division Leader for Nursing and Counselling, you will provide teaching input into our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and play a key role in the further development of the Division’s research agenda. For the honorary Nurse Consultant element of the role you will be professionally accountable to the Associate Nurse Director for Mental Health & Learning Disability for NHS Tayside.
