The Faculty comprises a wide and diverse range of subject areas, research and knowledge exchange activities, organised through four Institutes; the Institute of Human Science, the Institute of Health, the Institute of Community and Society and the Institute of Education.
The Institute of Health includes a wide range of professionally qualifying health care courses including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, paramedic science, podiatry and a wide range of continuing professional development opportunities.
We are seeking candidates for the role of Head of the Department of Nursing and Deputy Director of the Institute of Health to provide strategic leadership of our large nursing provision. The successful candidate will demonstrate highly effective strategic leadership within the area of nursing and have extensive knowledge and understanding of nursing and healthcare in higher education. They will have experience of providing strategic leadership of collaboration with employers and service users. The Head of the Department of Nursing will also support the development of nursing research and enterprise to contribute to achieving the Institute, Faculty and University strategic vision and aims, whilst developing and delivering on the relevant strategic plans.
