This is a new role, which has emerged as part of the Faculty restructure in 2013-14. The main purpose of the
role is to provide leadership for the new schools in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, by developing the
programme, research, and knowledge exchange activity within the school. The role holder will motivate and guide
the assigned academic body in line with strategy set by the University and Faculty key performance indicators,
working with and through the School Academic Group leaders, Programme Directors and Professional Leads to
influence School outcomes.
The post holder will be a member of the Faculty Executive, Faculty Leadership Group, and the University
Management Group, and will operate to promote interprofessional, integrated working within the School and
across School/ Faculties, which sustains and builds reputation and income.
In addition, the post holder holds a vital role in ensuring the future sustainability of the Faculty, by engaging with
and promoting positive relationships with new and emerging stakeholders, to ensure their current and future
education and RKE needs are being met.
The role holder will be guided by and operate to promote the Faculty Vision and Shared Purpose Framework to
assist cultural change.
