The College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare, provides high quality nursing, midwifery and healthcare programmes in partnership with our local healthcare providers.

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative nurse educator to join our team to lead our Pre-registration Nursing programme. The Head of Pre-registration Nursing is a key position within the College and will be part of the core management team to assure the quality of nursing, midwifery and healthcare related educational provision with the University.

The academic team, together with the support of administrative and technical staff, deliver the Pre-registration Nursing programme to students across our London and Reading campuses. Applicants will be required to maintain strong links with healthcare providers and practitioners in West London and Berkshire, to support and enhance placement learning.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse teacher. Candidates should have excellent experience of curriculum development and effective leadership and management of nursing courses. They should have a good understanding of professional body requirements and policy developments which impact on nurse education. They should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with nursing students, other academics and with our support and technical staff. They will be expected to develop and deliver learning material that is relevant, evidence-based and current, in order to maintain the high quality of learning and teaching associated with the college.
