Due to retirement we are recruiting a new Head for the Division of Dietetics, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Radiography (DPPR).

We are looking for someone to provide leadership, strategic direction to and management of the academic staff within the Division of DPPR – who will manage the operational delivery of high quality learning and teaching, research and commercialisation activities, thus making a significant contribution to the development of multi-disciplinary and multi-professional working. The new Head of Division will have a professional allied health background and will develop staff to reach their full potential and enable synergistic working relationships between the professoriate and academic that enhances the University’s research goals and reputation as a whole. Developing strategic objectives under the leadership of the Dean, Prof Fiona Coutts, they will operationalise strategic plans, including the achievement of KPIs as set out as part of the School and University Planning Process.

With negotiation the Head of Division will have the opportunity to further develop their teaching, research or commercialisation experience, however this is predominantly a leadership/ management role. There will be the opportunity for suitable candidates to be appointed at professorial level and to develop the role of Deputy Head of Division once in post.
