We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced individual who
will work in a collaborative manner and lead the effective management and development of the Department of Midwifery, Child and Reproductive Health.
The main focus of the post is to develop business, deliver agile and responsive recruitment strategies and develop innovative curricula aligned to national agendas and professional body standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction of the department, leading the co-ordination, delivery and enhancement of the provision. This role includes all responsibilities required by the NMC to fulfil the role of Lead Midwife for Education (LME).
The Faculty has four education sites, based at Riverside Campus, Chester, Warrington Campus, Marriss House, Birkenhead and Leighton Hospital, Crewe. This post will be based at Riverside Campus, Chester.
You will have current registration with the NMC as well as a professional qualification in midwifery, a first/higher degree in a relevant subject, a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) as well as a doctorate, or be close to completion.
A professorial title may be available to a suitable candidate.
