The University of Salford is seeking to appoint an outstanding and talented individual as joint Head of Adult Nursing. There are two Heads of Adult Nursing who work together to provide strategic and operational leadership and management across pre-qualifying nursing education, post graduate taught and research programmes, workforce development, enterprise and innovation. Heads of Adult Nursing will work closely together, and with the Director, to provide strategic and operational management across the Directorate, further enhancing teaching, learning, research and enterprise activities. The post holder will have lead responsibility for identified areas of operation within the Directorate and the School.
To be considered for the post you will have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and substantive experience of leadership and management of teaching and learning in a higher education or a similar context. You will have a commitment to the provision of high-quality education and excellent student experience. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable commitment to and understanding of the current and future context of midwifery and nursing education and workforce development and a desire to be at the forefront of change that makes a difference to individuals, families and communities.
