The Department of Nursing and Community Health is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the following programme:
MSc Public Health – one examiner
This programme offers a variety of routes on part-time and full-time basis. The programme is open to UK and international applicants, students and practitioners from all relevant backgrounds, specialities and areas of practice. The programme is run concurrently at our campuses in Glasgow and London. For more information on the programme content and structure please visit:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff that will have experience of managing and assessing students on similar programmes. Experience of external examining would be an advantage, but is not essential. As an External Examiner you will be responsible for the external moderation of a range of modules from a variety of public health themes and will be invited to review a selection of scripts and comment on assessment content. You would be expected to attend four Assessment Boards and submit a written report each year. The programme is also due for revalidation in September 2016.
The period of tenure is for four years and will commence in September 2015.
All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University. The University offers support for newly appointed external assessors.
For further information, or to submit a CV, please contact the Programme Leader, Agi McFarland at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0141 331 8328.
