This new Chair is part of a pioneering and prestigious partnership between three leading organisations committed to supporting the development of nurses and midwives: The School of Health and Population Sciences at the University of Birmingham, the Florence Nightingale Foundation and Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.

As the Chair, the successful candidate will work across the three organisations to create a collaborative programme of research that advances clinical practice and patient care improvement within nursing. The postholder will also be a credible ambassador for the Florence Nightingale Foundation.

In addition to being a persuasive visionary, the successful candidate will be an expert nurse consultant and leading role model for clinical academic nurses. With an academic qualification at PhD level (or equivalent) and current NMC registration, you will be able to demonstrate your passion for improving patient care and patient experience by combining high quality research with compassionate care.
