External Examining for CPD at Northumbria University

Opening Date:
3 Mar 2014
Closing Date:
31 May 2014
Salary Range:

Northumbria University, Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, currently has a vacancy for 3 External Examiners within the post-qualifying Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework.

It would be preferred (though not essential) if the candidate had previous experience as an external examiner.

The roles will involve acting as external examiner for a range of academic modules within our BSc (Hons) Practice Development degree award. These modules relate to a spectrum of Physical Health issues and associated care, interventions and practice development. Students of the CPD framework are predominately from Nursing roles, as are the external examiner team you would be joining. Though all applications will be considered, we are at this time particularly interested in securing external examiners with experience in:

– Children’s and Neonatal health
– Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (relating to Children & Young People)

In addition to academic modules within these areas, external examiners will also be called upon to examine more generic/core modules within the CPD framework. Though predominately at degree level, there is an increasing academic provision at Master’s level across the post qualifying programmes.
