External Examiners – Pre-Registration Nursing Programme

The University of Dundee is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our Mental Health field for our Pre-registration Nursing Programme – Mental Health. The successful applicant may also have the opportunity to undertake some post-registration and/or postgraduate external examining related to their expertise, and by negotiation. You would also be asked to review work by students on the relevant return-to-practice programme.

The University requires that External Examiners have qualifications at least equivalent to the Programme being examined, so the successful applicants will possess a Masters Degree. A recordable teaching qualification is also essential for this post.

Please be aware that the NMC requires external examiners for Nursing and Midwifery programmes to possess current registration on the appropriate part of the NMC Register.

All appointments will be from 1 October 2018 and will be initially for a three year period.
