Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff for the role of External Examiner for the above modules for the period of 1st September 2014- August 2018. You will work within a team of experienced examiners for post-registration programmes.
The post requires external review of assessments and completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at the relevant Programme Assessment Boards.
The Introduction to Palliative Care (level 6) and Professional Practice in Palliative Care (level 7) has two intakes a year (September and January) and there are approx 15-20 students a year enrolled onto each module. Students accessing these modules may utilise them as a stand-alone module or may form part of a BSc top up or MSc programme.
These modules are newly validated with the level 6 Introduction to Palliative Care due to start on 2nd Oct 2014. Level 7 will commence on 21st January 2015. Each module will run for 12 weeks with a 3 weeks period for completion of assessment requirements.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to meet with students and attend sessions.
