The Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery, at De Montfort University is seeking to appoint two External Examiners to complement our existing team of external examiners aligned to the part time BSc (Hons) Professional Clinical Practice (Level 6) and MSc Professional Clinical Practice (level 7) programmes within our Post Registration Continuing Professional Development portfolio.
Post 1
You will need to be a health care professional registered with a professional statutory body and will be expected to work with module leaders across a broad range of adult focussed modules, including – but not exclusive to – the specialist areas of nutrition, older adults, stoma care, gastroenterology, theatres / surgical practice, critical care nursing, anaesthetic care, infection control.
Post 2
You will need to be a health care professional registered with a professional statutory body and will be expected to work with module leaders across a broad range of adult focussed modules, including – but not exclusive to – the specialist areas of child & neonatal nursing
Duties will include the review of the students’ academic work and practice assessment documentation, attendance at assessment boards and writing an annual report. All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners. The successful applicant would be appointed with effect from 1st Dec 2021 for a term of four academic years.
