Allied Health and Applied Social Sciences at the University of Worcester is seeking an External Examiner for the following programme:
- PG Cert Urgent and Acute Clinical Care
The PG Cert Urgent and Acute Care programme is a multi-professional programme aimed at supporting staff working in a primary care setting to deliver high quality urgent and acute care within a complex and demanding primary care environment. In addition to being External Examiner for this programme you will also be External Examiner for the following modules:
- Non-medical prescribing (level 6 and &7)
- Advanced health assessment adult, paediatric and newborn
Non-medical Prescribing and Advanced Health Assessment are successful courses/modules that run at the University of Worcester and forms part of the BSc (Hons) Health Sciences top up degree and the MSc Advancing Practice. It attracts applicants across a range of professions including nurses and pharmacists.
The post requires you to have substantial experience in teaching or leading on Masters programmes. In addition for the External Examiner for Non-medical Prescribing you are required to hold the qualification of non-medical prescriber. In addition, the role requires external moderation of assessments, attendance at the Boards of Examiners and completion of an Annual Monitoring Report.
The appointment will be with effect from 1st October.
