College of Human and Health Sciences, Swansea University
The College of Human and Health Sciences is seeking an external examiner for the BSc (Hons)/ GradDip Enhanced Professional Practice programme. This work-based learning programme offers a unique and contextualised approach to learning and development for professionals and those supporting professionals in practice. The aim of this programme is to develop practice from a personal and organisational perspective, evidenced through a professional portfolio.
The successful applicant will be asked to attend one examination board per year and submit an annual report following this. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.
Applicants should hold appropriate academic qualifications and have an interest or a background in work-based learning for health care professionals.
Essential Criteria: Experience of delivering relevant programmes at HE level
Current NMC registration on the appropriate part of the register
Desirable Criteria: Previous experience as an external examiner
Date of appointment: September 2021 – September 2025
