We are seeking to appoint an External Examiner to commence January 2020 for two new perioperative courses for Registered Nurses – a University Advanced Diploma in Anaesthetic Practice commencing in Jan, and also a University Advanced Diploma in Scrub and Circulating Practice which will commence in Sept 2020.
These are innovative and forward focussed short courses, 3 modules each across a calendar year, delivered entirely online to allow flexible learning from students across the UK. The courses are designed to facilitate development of skills through both academic and competency based assessment and also to facilitate the development of safe, resilient, confident practitioners.
One annual visit at assessment boards is required as minimum but this can arranged virtually. Applications are invited from suitably qualified staff who have experience of teaching and assessing on perioperative courses in Higher Education.
Appointment is subject to meeting the university’s criteria for the appointment of External Examiners.
