Ulster University is seeking applications for the role of External Examiner for Specialist Learning Disability and Community Learning Disability Nursing. The External for Specialist Learning Disability is also expected to cover a Core Module on Research and Practice Development for Specialist Nursing and credit–bearing modules in other Post Registration Nursing Programmes.
This is a 4-year appointment and will require a yearly visit to Ulster University at the Jordanstown campus and later at the new Belfast campus. Visits to Learning Disability Practice Learning settings in Northern Ireland is also required. If appointed you will be expected to attend a 1-day induction at Ulster University in early September 2019.
Applicants must have a Master’s Qualification, hold a Recordable Specialist Qualification in Learning Disability with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of the UK and have some experience in post registration Learning Disability Nursing Education. While experience as an External Examiner is welcome, it is not a requirement, as an experienced Course Director and Team of Externals from other Specialist Fields will support you.
