Level 7 Preparation for NMC Stage 4 Teacher
Post graduate Certificate Practice Education
Unaccredited, Level 6 and 7 Post Registration Mentorship Programmes
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an external examiner to oversee the NMC approved mentorship, practice education and teacher programmes within the School of Health at The University of Northampton. Whilst the provision is NMC approved, interprofessional access to the programmes is actively encouraged. The External Examiner will be responsible for providing mandatory reports and external comments relating to the design, delivery and attainment within the provision.
It is essential that the external examiner will be registered with the NMC and must have stage 4 Teacher status recorded on the NMC register. The successful applicant will be expected to build and maintain a close professional relationship with the staff delivering the provision. This opportunity would ideally suit an External Examiner with academic experience in post registration development and level 6/7 provision. Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of quality assurance and enhancement in healthcare education.
In accordance with University Regulations, the appointed External Examiner will need to attend a development session in preparation for the role.
