The University of Suffolk is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the Return to Practice (Nursing) Course. This course supports Adult, Mental Health and Child Health Nurses to regain their registration which has lapsed due to career changes and lifestyle choices.
Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified academics with experience of the delivery and assessment of similar programmes. This would also be an ideal opportunity for someone new to the role of External Examiner. Cohorts are small and tend to be anything between ten and twenty in number. The course covers generic aspects of contemporary nursing, with some field specific content and consists of one module running over fifteen weeks, starting again in September 2017. It is assessed in theory with a 2000 word essay at Academic Level 6 and with the achievement of the required competencies in practice.
The appointment will commence from 1 September 2017 for a period of four years. All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the External Examiners Appointment Panel.
