The Faculty of Community Health and Midwifery at the University of Central Lancashire is a large and multidisciplinary faculty, offering a broad range of programmes in the health and social care field.

We are seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the new Professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy. This new programme is an academic endeavour which aims to provide students with the opportunity to obtain a level of postgraduate research performance appropriate for the degree of doctoral qualification in the field of psychotherapy. This new programme does not include clinical training and focuses instead on research linked to psychotherapy practice. All taught modules will be delivered online.

Examiners are required to review and evaluate assessment marking and to attend a minimum of one examination board per year.  Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff.
