External Examiner – Pre-registration Adult Nursing

The School of Health and Care Professions at the University of Portsmouth are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified external examiner for our NMC approved, pre-registration BN (Hons) Nursing (Adult) programme (FHEQ levels 4, 5 and 6), which is approved for delivery against the NMC (2018) standards. Our programme includes extensive simulation and was the first pre-registration nursing programme to be accredited by ASPiH.

Some of the modules are shared across Adult and Mental Health Nursing. The modules that this External Examiner will be responsible for cover nursing knowledge and skills, person centred care, acute care, long term conditions, public health. The successful applicant will work with another external examiner who covers cross-school modules (evidence-based practice). Current relevant experience in higher education along with professional registration with the NMC as an Adult Nurse is essential.
