The School of Health & Community Studies is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified External Examiner (NMC registrant) to a number of post qualification Nursing and Healthcare programmes.
These include: BSc (Hons) Health & Community Care (top-up degree); MSc Health and Community Care; Grad/PG Certificate Neonatal Care; and standalone CPD modules. The External Examiner is expected to work across our post qualification provision and to work with the existing External Examining team. Previous experience of external examining is not necessary as the University is able to provide mentorship. An online induction is offered and further support is provided by the Course Leader and Course Director.
The appointment commences on 1 November 2018 and the tenure is for a period of four years. All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University. External Examiners are expected to attend Board of Examiners meetings at least once a year and submit an annual report.
For expressions of interest please send a current CV to Sheila Casey, Academic Quality Support Officer, firstname.lastname@example.org. For further information or an informal discussion about the post, please contact Paul Mackreth, Course Director, P.email@example.com.
