The University of Liverpool Institute of Infection, Veterinary & Ecological Sciences (IVES) is seeking to appoint an External Examiner to ensure appropriate quality standards are achieved within the Post Graduate Diploma/Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
We are seeking a replacement external examiner to start in immediately for a 4 year tenure.
Applicants are advised that the University applies the following criteria to external examiners:
- The area of expertise of external examiners is within the area of examinations undertaken (human physiotherapy essential, veterinary physiotherapy advantageous);
- Applicants should have recently been employed (or are still employed) within a university appointment;
- He/she must not have been a University of Liverpool examiner within the last five years;
- He/she will have a qualification registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and University examining experience.
The successful applicant must hold a minimum academic qualification at Masters/PhD level.
All coursework is electronically submitted and marked online; External Examiners will be required to use the online moderating process. User guides and support will be available. The External Examiner would be expected to attend a minimum of two Examination Boards per academic year, currently all online.
