The School of Allied Health Professionals and Midwifery at the University of Bradford is looking for a dedicated individual to undertake the role of external examiner for our existing MSc/PGD/PGS Midwifery and MSc/PGD Advanced Practice (Midwifery) programmes to commence immediately. The above postgraduate Midwifery programmes adopts a holistic approach to developing experienced registered midwives into skilled leaders of the profession. Both programmes and their nested awards are designed to develop skills in complex reasoning, critical thinking and analysis required to apply knowledge to a range of clinical and professional situations through reflection and practice experience and offer the opportunity to develop a bespoke package of content ensuring both individual and service needs are met.

You should have appropriate expertise/experience in the areas of midwifery, be able to undertake a role in the assurance of academic standards in Higher Education and should be aware of modern developments in the design and delivery of the flexible curriculum.

You should not hold more than one other UK Higher Education External Examiner post at the start of the contract and be qualified to at least the level of the programme to be examined.
