UWE Bristol, Department of Nursing and Midwifery, is seeking to appoint an external examiner for Evidencing Work Based Learning (EWBL) modules within our CPD and undergraduate provision. All modules are delivered at Level 4, 5, 6 & 7 (1, 2, 3 and M). All EWBL modules are used flexibly in both UG and PG programmes and range in credit size from 10–60 credits.
Applications will be accepted from individuals new to the examining role with relevant professional experience. UWE CPD modules can be taken as part of a programme or individually as standalone. EWBL is a structured opportunity to engage in learning in the workplace, which enables students to earn recognition for current skills and knowledge and identify professional development needs. EWBL is flexible and responsive to organisational change and needs and encourages reflective practice, independent learning and personal development. Desirable Criteria: Current NMC registration any field
All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners.

Tenure: 4 years
Field Boards: Currently February, June, July and November. We expect External Examiners would be able to attend at least 2 out of 3 boards.
