External Examiner – Non-medical Prescribing for Nurse, Midwives and AHPs and MSc Health and Social Care

Edinburgh Napier University is looking to appoint an External Examiners for the above programmes. Completion of the non-medical prescribing programme leads to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).

The course is 6 months duration and has 2 cohorts per year, one in January and one in September with 100-120 students enrolled per year. Applicants must be a registered prescriber with their relevant profession.

The MSc Health and Social Care is a part or full time programme for health and social care professional seeking either an academic or leadership career. The programme is 1-3 years in duration and due to commence in September 2017. Student numbers will be between 10 and 20 per year.

The appointment tenure is for a period of four years. All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University. External Examiners are expected to attend Board meetings at least once a year and submit an annual report.
