we are seeking to appoint an external examiner to the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) course.
This is a full-time/part time course which extends over a period of two academic years. It adopts a work-integrated approach to learning which facilitates the application of theoretical learning within the workplace. Students attend university one/two days a week and engage in work-based learning activities in a healthcare practice setting for the remainder of the time.
We are keen to recruit an academic who has a postgraduate Specialist Community Public Health Nursing, Health Visiting qualification. Whilst external examiner experience is desirable, we also welcome expressions of interest from individuals new to this role.
The successful candidate will be offered an induction programme and will be supported throughout the duration of their tenure.
You will be invited to attend approximately 3 academic boards per year. You will also be invited to observe practical assessments (such as OSCEs) and visit students within practice areas.
The term of office for the successful candidate will be for a period of 4 years from September 2017. Please send expressions of interest by submitting a CV to Christine Norgate, the Course Co-ordinator
