The Department is seeking to appoint an external examiner for our Masters in Public Health and Health Promotion course
This is a long established master’s course in Public Health and Health Promotion. The course is offered on both a part time and a full time basis and is immersed in a social model of health. It attracts a wide range of health care professionals and many international students
The University operates a two-tier examination board system, with external examiners being initially appointed to a Subject Area Board where they will oversee a number of academic modules. More experienced external examiners may subsequently be appointed to an Award and Progression Examination Board. The Examination Board meets three times a year and there is an expectation that the external examiner will attend at least one Examination Board and submit an annual report to the University.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff that hold a minimum of a masters degree.
All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment (UK Quality Code for HE; Chapter 7 External Examining; Indicator 5.
