We are seeking to appoint an external examiner for our MSc Paramedic Science and MSc Advanced Paramedic Practice (Critical Care) programmes from January 2019 for four years. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. The successful applicant must be registered with HCPC and have relevant experience of working in the field as well as teaching on Paramedic programmes.
External examiners have remote access to programmes and modules through the VLE to view content and track progress of their allocated modules. Non-electronic aspects e.g. practice documents are available on the morning of examination boards. All external examiners are invited to attend assessments i.e. OSCEs and presentations. You will be required to view a selection of scripts for designated modules and complete a module external examiner report. At the end of year an annual report is required. Examination Boards are held three times a year in February, June and September. It is expected that you attend module and programme boards.
