The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the following programmes.

MSc Nursing: The course is designed to equip registered nurses from all fields with the knowledge, skills, personal, professional and inter-professional insights needed to confront, challenge and shape the future of their practice. It is available to home and international students via part and full time route. There is a limited range of compulsory modules and option modules available from the Faculty’s module catalogue to suit their individual professional needs.

Principles / Certificate in Stroke Practice: This is a single 20 credit CPD module (Level 6 or Level 7) undertaken by a range of NHS staff including nurses and allied health professionals and aims to provide students with a broad and in-depth knowledge of stroke and its management in the context of modern health care.

The External Examiner will be expected to contribute to the overall assessment process, consider student work and attend the programme assessment boards,

The University offers support for external examiners and a full induction day.
