The Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery, at De Montfort University, is seeking to appoint an External Examiner to the new MSc International Nursing and Leadership programme which is due to start in September 2021. This programme is aimed at nurses working in their home country (abroad) who wish to undertake a Masters programme in a UK university, with a focus on leadership in healthcare.
The programme has three broad themes: leadership, evidence-based practice and global health. As such, you will be expected to work with a small team of module leaders across this range of modules and you will need to be a nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Duties will include the review of the students’ academic work, attendance at assessment boards and writing an annual report. All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners. The successful applicant would be appointed with effect from April 2021 for a term of four academic years.
For more information, please contact the Programme Leader, Julian Stribling (0116 201 3921). If you would like to be considered for the role, please forward your CV, by the end of March 2021, to: email@example.com
