MSc Advanced Physiotherapy

The Department of Allied Health Professions (AHP), Midwifery and Social Work is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the MSc Advanced Physiotherapy programme. The programme forms part of the AHP Postgraduate Framework which also includes master’s programmes in Radiography, Paramedic Science and Dietetics. Students have the opportunity to study for individual modules, for continuing professional development, or for an exit award.

You will be responsible for quality assurance of the assessment processes for a range of physiotherapy specific modules as well as interprofessional modules and accredited short courses within the AHP framework. You will have the opportunity to observe practical assessments and review coursework. You will be invited to attend Exam Board meetings, which are held in February, June and September, to consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process.

You will be required to write an annual report as part of the University of Hertfordshire’s quality assurance mechanisms.
Ideally you will possess a higher degree, hold a current professional registration within physiotherapy, demonstrate a relevant academic career and have experience of external examining.
