External Examiner – MNurs and Masters of Adult Nursing

The University of Wolverhampton requires an external examiner for our MNurs Adult Nursing programme levels 6 and 7 and Masters of Adult Nursing programme level 7. The external examiner will be expected to monitor the quality of the coursework across this provision.

The external examiner will be expected to monitor the quality of the coursework across the Courses below:

MNurs

  • Leading and Managing Healthcare – level 6
  • Research application in Nursing Practice – level 7
  • Independent Enquiry Project – level 7
  • Health and Nursing Assessment – level 7
  • Advancing towards Registered Practice – level 7

Masters of Adult nursing

  • Theoretical Foundations of Nursing – Year 1 core module with Masters of Mental Health nursing
  • Developing Nursing Practice – Year 1 core module with Masters of Mental Health nursing
  • Progressing in Adult Nursing – Year 1
  • Shaping Adult Nursing Practice – Year 2

We are seeking candidates whose areas of expertise would enable him or her to monitor the quality of these courses and externally moderate assessed work. External examiners are required to attend at least one assessment board a year and complete an annual report. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.

The post is for an initial period of 4 years, starting in September 2020 – 2024
