Edge Hill University, Faculty of Health and Social Care, is seeking to appoint an External Examiner to its Postgraduate Professional Education Portfolio, with subject expertise in research

- Masters in Clinical Research (MClin Res)
- Masters in Health Research (MHealth Res)
These programmes incorporate an initial module remit relating to Clinical and Health Research. Module remits are subject to change throughout the term of office, remaining appropriate to the area of expertise.
Successful applicants would be appointed with effect from October 2018 for a term of four years, and would be joining an established and supportive external examiner team. External Examiners are required to attend Module Assessment Boards and to complete an annual report. External Examiners are also invited to engage with students in practice.

All applicants should be qualified to at least Masters Level 7, which should have included formal research training e.g. PhD, MPhil or other. Recent academic and research experience in the area of health and or social care (a proven publication record would be desirable). Previous experience as an external examiner for similar programmes would be an advantage.
All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners.
