The University of Wolverhampton requires an external examiner for our portfolio of Health Visiting (Specialist Community Public Health Nursing) modules and courses offered within the Department of Post-Registration Education in the Institute of Health, which offers CPD for qualified nurses, AHPs, and medical doctors. The external examiner will be expected to monitor the quality of the modular coursework across this provision with a Health Visiting focus.

The external examiner will be expected to monitor the quality of the Health Visting-based assessments across our BSc (Hons), PG Dip, and Apprenticeship-based Health Visiting courses (and associated modules).

We are seeking candidates whose expertise would enable them to monitor the quality of these courses and externally moderate assessed work from arising from the modules offered in our Health Visiting (Specialist Community Public Health Nursing) courses. External examiners are required to attend at least one Assessment Board a year and complete an annual report. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.

The post is for an initial period of 4 years, starting at the beginning of academic year 2020-2021.
