We are seeking to appoint a new external examiner for our ‘With Foundation Year’ (level 3) provision. Several of our programmes access this provision, including nursing, allied health and social care. The Foundation Year provides students the extra time and support required to enter our three year degree programmes. External Examiners need not necessarily be registrants, but experience of health and social care programmes is essential and of foundation year provision would be advantageous.
The role will entail reviewing samples of students’ work, completing an annual report and attendance at assessment board at least once per year. This is a new area of provision in the University and enquiries from new external examiners are welcome.
