You are invited to apply for the position of external examiner for this pre-registration Paramedic Science degree programme. The programme is run by a friendly inter-professional team keen to share ideas and continually improve the quality of our graduates and the student experience.
The programme is endorsed by the College of Paramedics and will be running a revised curriculum for the first time in academic year 2020/2021. Currently the programme has a maximum cohort intake size of 55 students per year.
Applicants must be employed within higher education and work on a Paramedic Science programme approved by the HCPC. The appointment is due to commence in September 2020. The successful applicant will be invited to attend an induction day prior to commencement of the role in the summer of 2020.
Responsibilities include:
Commenting on draft examination papers, reviewing samples of students’ work, attending meetings of examiners (usually one per year), and submitting an annual report. We would also expect our External Examiner to comment on documents submitted to the HCPC for any Major Change and/or internally for curriculum development and re-design activities.
