The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the Postgraduate Diploma and BSc (Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Health Visitor pathway
The SCPHN programme runs once per year, commencing in September with students having the option of undertaking the programme on a full or part time basis.
The successful applicant must be registered on part three of the NMC register, and have relevant experience. He/she will work with our existing External Examiners to review a number of modules within the programme. This will include modules delivered at both level 6 and level 7, with some of the modules shared between pathways.
The External Examiner will be expected to attend the programme assessment board held in September, consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.
The appointment will be with effect from September 2016 and will be for a period of four years.
