We wish to appoint a new External Examiner for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme.
The programme runs over three years and is aligned to the NLIAH (2010) Advanced Practice framework for Advanced Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional Practice in Wales, Health Education England (HEE) (2020) multi-professional framework for Advanced Clinical Practice, Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Standards for Advanced Level Nursing (2018) and other relevant faculty/ Royal College competency frameworks. The programme also includes the NMC/ HCPC approved Independent Prescribing modules.
As an external examiner you will be responsible for external review of the research module, a range of optional advanced clinical assessment modules and optional dissertation modules.
The term of office will be for four academic years commencing with effect from September 2021 and applications are invited from Senior Lecturers, or above. It would also be an advantage for the applicant to have a current NMC or HCPC registration.
Please note that external examiners are required to engage with assessment of both theory and clinical practice elements of the programme.
