The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the Pre-registration Learning Disabilities Nursing programmes (subject to approval). The School of Nursing has a long tradition of delivering pre-registration nursing programmes and has been delivering a programme in line with the latest NMC Standards for Education (2018) since September 2019. S/he will work with our existing External Examiners to review a number of modules within the pre-registration learning disabilities nursing programmes (BSc and Degree Nurse Apprenticeship). This will include modules delivered at levels 4, 5 and 6 with some of the modules being shared between fields. An induction is provided and ideally, the external examiner will have had experience of external examining.
The External Examiner will be expected to attend the programme assessment board, consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.
The appointment will be with effect from September 2021 and will be for a period of 4 years. To apply, please submit your Curriculum Vitae to email@example.com
