The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the newly developed BSc (Hons) and PGD Community Health Practice starting in September 2018. This course has been written for students from a variety of multi-professional health backgrounds such as nursing, paramedic practice and allied health professionals and so we would welcome applications for this post from a variety of professionals.
The successful applicant must be registered with a professional body such as the NMC, HCPC, GPhC or GMC and have relevant experience of working in community practice as well as teaching on community health programmes. He/she will work with our existing External Examiners to review a number of modules within the programmes. This will include modules delivered at both level 6 and 7.
The External Examiner will be expected o attend the programme assessment board, consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process.
