External Examiner – Flexible and Work-based Learning modules

The Faculty of Health offers a suite of Flexible and Work-based Learning modules and courses. We are seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the following modules/courses:

Stoma and Colorectal Cancer Care – three modules are offered, one each at level 5, 6 and 7 with the aim of developing knowledge, skills and confidence from a fundamental to specialist to advanced level of practice.

Comprehensive Skills for Independent Practitioners within the Minor Injuries/Urgent Care setting – there are four level 6 modules within this provision. Initial modules focus on anatomy and physiology and the assessment through to discharge process. Examination of patients alongside x-ray interpretation underpins the third module. The role of the practitioner and autonomous practice is considered in relation to practice.

Management of Haemodialysis Patients (Chronic) – a module which aims to equip Registered Nurses with the skills and knowledge to manage chronic haemodialysis patients. A practical approach underpins the module aiming to develop and enhance nurses’ competency in this speciality.
