The University of Bolton, School of Nursing and Midwifery, is seeking to appoint an external examiner for our FDSc Nursing Associate (Higher Apprenticeship Route and Self-Funded Route) programme, to support our existing external examiners. This is due to the expansion of the provision along with the development of 2 Satellite Centres in Bradford and Devon. The duties will include the review of the students’ academic work and Practice Assessment Documents plus visiting practice learning partners as required at least once a year as per Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements.

Placement are across Greater Manchester mainly. This will also include visiting Practice Partners at our satellite centres at Bradford Teaching Hospitals & Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Northern Devon Healthcare Trust.

External examiner appointments are typical for a period of four years and the appointment is for a start as soon as possible following approval of the appointment. Applicants with relevant experience and knowledge of pre-registration nursing education within the Adult Field and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
