We wish to appoint two external examiners to be part of our CPD external examining team. The successful applicants will take responsibility for a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes and level six and level seven stand-alone modules within our undergraduate and postgraduate CPD framework as listed below.

External Examiner 1
• BSc (Hons) Nursing (Professional Practice) : WBH 3630 Practitioner Inquiry; WBH 3730 Negotiated Work Based Project
• MSc Nursing Studies/ Nursing Studies Advanced Practice: WBS 4630 Advanced Practitioner Inquiry; WBS 4760 Negotiated Work Based Project
• NSA 4050 Developing Research Capability
• NSA 4007 Essentials of Advanced Nursing Practice
• NSA 3100/4100 Leadership for Public and Community Services
• NSA 3200/4200 Service Development and Quality Improvement for Public and Community Services

External Examiner 2
• NSA 3632/3633/4633 Mentorship Preparation
• NSA 4634 Practice Teacher
• NSA 3XXX/4XXX Crediting Learning from Study Days
• NSA 3501/4501 Critical Care – Core Concepts
• NSA 3511 Principles of Perioperative Nursing
• Accreditation work

There may be scope to amend the above lists of programme/module responsibilities following discussion with the external examiners who are appointed

As an External Examiner, you will be expected to: externally moderate and report on samples of work – including those submitted by organisations whose programmes we accredit; attend first tier Subject Assessment Boards three times a year in September, February and June and write an annual report. We would also expect you to attend our External Examiners’ Induction.
