The School of Nursing and Allied Health is seeking a qualified nurse/midwife educator to take on the role of External Examiner for the CPD Development in Special and Intensive Care of the Newborn (Level 6 and level 7), following the completion of tenure of the current External Examiner in October 2020. This is a Collaborative partnership with the Special and Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust Hospital. The programme runs once per year over the academic year.
Applicants must hold a current NMC registration on the appropriate part of the Register and hold a recorded teaching qualification with the NMC.
The post requires external moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at the relevant Boards of Examiners and submission of an annual report.
The appointment will be with effect from 1 October 2020 for four years.
Full course details and documentation will be provided to the appointee and an induction day will be offered – to be held at the University following appointment.
