This is an established programme delivered in collaboration with Mastercall Healthcare, an NHS GP Out of Hours service based in Stockport. The programme has one intake per year of between 10 and 20 students, delivered on a part-time basis over one academic year. The programme aims to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills to assess, treat and refer patients with a range of minor illnesses in the primary care setting. The assessment consists of OSCEs, a short answer examination and the submission of a Clinical Assessment Document completed during 80 hours of supervised clinical practice as a minor illness practitioner.
