The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for a suite of postgraduate and accredited professional counselling and psychotherapy programmes: MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy; Certificate in Therapeutic Work with Children and Adolescents; Certificate Supervision of Counselling and Psychotherapy; Advanced Certificate in Counselling for Depression; PGD Integrative Psychotherapy and Graduate Certificate Advanced Counselling Skills.
The successful applicant must be accredited with an appropriate Counselling and Psychotherapy organisation such as the BACP or other and have relevant experience of working in practice as a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist as well as teaching on accredited and specialist practitioner programmes. The successful applicant will work with our existing External Examiners to review a number of modules across the programmes. This will include modules delivered at both level 6 and level 7.
The External Examiner will be expected to attend the programme assessment board, consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process.
