The University of South Wales is seeking to appoint a ‘Course External Examiner’ for a range of established post registration modules and programmes which focus on nursing children in community settings, and paediatric palliative care. These programmes are multi professional and aimed at supporting staff to deliver high quality care within complex and demanding health care environments.

The External Examiner is expected to monitor the quality of assessments / professional practice across the modules and is invited to attend at least one Assessment Board per academic session to consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process. You will be required to forward a report for each module board in consideration of process and student work. An annual report is also required as part of the University of South Wales’ quality assurance mechanisms. The post is for an initial period of 4 years, starting with immediate effect.

We would openly accept applications from academics that are new to the role of External Examiner, and if appointed we would assign a mentor from one of our currently serving External Examiners. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you very much for taking time to read this advert.
